MARY BRADLEY
Head of the Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning - Glyndwr University, Wrexham

Achievements include:

  • creation of cross-departmental Academic Forum on Enterprise;
  • campus-wide events to engage the Community;
  • direct feed into MBA;
  • awarded Associate of the Higher Education Academy;
  • partnership with new Centre for Pedagogical Research and Scholarship;
  • new proposal to University for Entrepreneurial Model.
LESLEY COTTRELL
Entrepreneurship Champion - Development Centre, Coleg Ystrad Mynach, Wales

Achievements include:

  • developing Entrepreneurship across the Curriculum;
  • developing Staff Skills to Deliver;
  • creating the interface with the Enterprise Zone.

Quote from senior management: "the experience of the course has impacted on the ‘enterprise’ developments within Coleg Ystrad Mynach. Lesley and I are currently producing a paper for the Senior Management regarding the provision and embedding of ‘enterprise’ within the whole College."

LOUISE EDWARDS
Enterprise Champion and Education Manager - University of Glamorgan, Wales

Achievements include:

  • development and delivery of the IGNITE Programme in Wales (one-week graduate programme);
  • adaptation of Belbin Team-Building workshops to enterprise agenda and delivered to over 200 students;
  • tasked with development of standalone University Centre for Enterprise;
  • raised £113,000 to support role.
DINAH GRIFFITHS
Entrepreneurship Champion - Barry College

Achievements include:

  • embedding entrepreneurship curriculum across the whole college;
  • joining the College Management Team;
  • development programmes for staff;
  • substantial engagement of college staff;
  • winning the Welsh Student Intern Final.
JACQUELINE HARRIS
Senior Lecturer - Newport Business School

Achievements include:

  • designed Entrepreneurship Modules for School of Art Media and Design;
  • planning of Social Enterprise Centre;
  • management and curriculum development of new MBA with Small Business Management;
  • development of research portfolio focused upon local economic and social development.
KATHRYN PENALUNA
Enterprise Manager - Swansea Metropolitan University

Achievements include:

  • major role in creation of UK-wide Special Interest Group in Entrepreneurial Learning;
  • funding for three Faculty Entrepreneurship Interns;
  • creation of MBA Entrepreneurship pathway module;
  • funding for business plan competition in School of Visual Communication;
  • international Network engagement and presentations.
TIM SAVAGE
Entrepreneurship Learning Director - University of Wales Institute, Cardiff

Achievements include:

  • delivering Entrepreneurship across all five University Schools;
  • development of ‘IGNITE’ - a week-long student business venture course;
  • innovative pedagogy development - using the England Cricket Team;
  • linking entrepreneurship back into Secondary Education (after-school club for six comprehensives).

Entrepreneurship Development Officer - Coleg Sir Gar*

Achievements include:

  • creation of cross-campus Entrepreneurship Steering Group with Entrepreneurship Champions;
  • work with group on comprehensive package development;
  • new programmes for College administration - example Library support;
  • network programme enterprise pedagogy development for Welsh Baccalaureate.
